 Mr. F.W. Hawtree

THESTORY

The prestigious and renowned golf course designer Mr. F.W. Hawtree of the MEMBERS BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF GOLF COURSE ARCHITECTS, made the design, construction and monitoring of the works of the 18 holes that has the Vallromanes Golf Club.

In the month of March of the year 1971, an unofficial presentation took place with the assistance of outstanding personalities among which were Sr. Don José Mª de Muller y Abadal President of the Provincial Council, Don Francisco Platón representative in Catalonia of the National Delegation of Physical Education and Sports, Don Juan Antonio Andreu, President of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, Duque de la Victoria; the Conde de Alba de Liste, Don Antonio Urda Deputy Delegate of the Ministry of Information and Tourism, Don Luis Torras Sarratacó Vice-President of the Provincial Council, Don Marcos Viladomiu President of the Catalan Golf Federation and our first President of the Club Don Antonio Riviere Manen, Accompanied by Mr. FW Hawtree.

On that very special day, the 18 holes were perfectly delimited and in advanced construction around the manor farmhouse that today is the Club House.
